Clingman’s Dome

Last weekend we finally made it up to Clingman’s Dome. Yay! Been wanting to go up there for a while now. Jason’s parents were able to make this hike with us. It was longer and steeper than I remembered it, but I think a lot of things are different from what you remember when you were a kid. All I remembered was walking in the clouds last time I went. The clouds were not low enough this time. It was a beautiful day and we were able to get an awesome view. We did see a bear again, but this time it was at a comfortable distance. Some people had spotted it from the road and the traffic was backed up with everyone stopping to look. I did the best I could to get a decent picture of him, but the camera kept wanting to focus on the branches. Anyway, we had a great time as usual and I am glad we finally made it up there.
